McLaren Gamme McLaren - électrique/hybride
McLaren approaches electrification first through the high-performance hybrid. The production pioneer is the Artura, launched in the 2020s, the brand's first production plug-in hybrid supercar, built on the new MCLA carbon architecture designed from the outset for electrification. The brand had already explored extreme hybridization with the P1 (Ultimate Series), a hypercar with a racing-derived hybrid system. The goal is to add instant torque and efficiency without excessively weighing down the car, true to McLaren's lightweight doctrine. To date, McLaren does not market a fully electric production model, the Artura's pure electric range remaining short and intended mainly for urban driving. For the Quebec buyer, these vehicles remain summer supercars: despite the electric assistance, they retain low-profile performance tires (19 inches front, 20 inches rear) and require a dedicated set of winter tires, with winter use remaining strongly discouraged.

Les McLaren chaussent des pneus de performance ultra-haute, le plus souvent montés sur des jantes forgées de 19 pouces à l'avant et 20 pouces à l'arrière, avec un montage très étagé (pneus arrière nettement plus larges que l'avant). Les gommes d'origine sont des Pirelli P Zero ou P Zero Corsa développées sur mesure pour la marque. Au Québec, où les pneus d'hiver sont obligatoires, ces voitures exigent des pneus hiver de performance spécifiques, parfois proposés par Pirelli, et restent peu adaptées aux conditions enneigées. Les dimensions étant rares et propres à chaque modèle, mieux vaut valider l'entraxe, le déport et la cote exacte d'origine avant tout achat.
