The Moskvitch 6 carries over the technical base of the Sehol A5: a four-cylinder gasoline engine with an automatic transmission, front-wheel drive, a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and driver-assistance features from the JAC platform.

Les Moskvitch actuelles, dérivées de crossovers JAC compacts à moyens, utilisent des montes courantes du segment : la Moskvitch 3 reçoit typiquement des jantes de 17 à 18 pouces, avec des pneus du type 215/50 R17 ou 225/45 R18; les modèles plus grands comme la 8 peuvent monter des roues équivalentes ou supérieures. L'entraxe (bolt pattern) suit généralement les standards JAC en 5 trous, fréquent sur ces plateformes.
