Electrification has been part of Renault Samsung's history since the SM3 Z.E., an electric sedan derived from the SM3, complemented by the Zoe electric city car and the Twizy urban quadricycle from Renault's catalogue. This range targets an urban, emissions-conscious clientele, with zero-emission vehicles for everyday use. The partnership with Geely revived the strategy: the Grand Koleos E-Tech introduces a modern hybrid system, while the Scenic E-Tech electric, developed on a dedicated platform from Ampere (Renault's EV subsidiary), represents the brand's new electric wave in Korea. For these vehicles, which have instant torque and are often heavier (batteries), suitable tires are important; in Quebec, good-quality winter tires, compliant in dimension and in load and speed ratings, are essential, to be confirmed on the vehicle placard.

Les véhicules Renault Samsung couvrent surtout des berlines compactes à intermédiaires (SM3, SM5, SM6) et des VUS compacts à intermédiaires (XM3, QM6, Grand Koleos). On y retrouve des montes de pneus et des jantes en alliage typiques de ces segments, avec des diamètres de jantes courants allant généralement du compact au format VUS familial. Les entraxes (bolt patterns) suivent les standards de l'Alliance Renault-Nissan. Comme ces modèles sont quasi inexistants au Québec, l'intérêt pratique concerne surtout d'éventuels véhicules importés : prévoir des pneus d'hiver homologués, essentiels et obligatoires au Québec, et vérifier dimensions exactes, indices de charge et de vitesse ainsi que l'entraxe sur l'étiquette du véhicule avant d'acheter pneus ou jantes.
