Seres Gamme Seres - électrique/hybride
The 'electric/hybrid' lineup sums up the core of Seres's technology strategy: on one side, fully battery-electric models (Seres 3, Seres 5), and on the other, range-extender (EREV/REEV) vehicles such as the Seres 7 and the AITO M7 and M9. In the latter, a small gasoline engine only recharges the battery while the wheels remain electrically driven, offering very long combined range while keeping electric driving day to day. This approach addresses range anxiety, particularly relevant in extreme cold. In Quebec, where winter temperatures reduce battery range, the range-extender architecture can be reassuring, but the lack of an official network complicates servicing. Les véhicules Seres et AITO sont surtout des VUS et multisegments de format compact à grand, ce qui correspond généralement à des jantes d'environ 18 à 21 pouces selon la gamme et la finition, avec des pneus toutes saisons d'origine de grande taille. Comme ces véhicules ne sont pas officiellement distribués au Québec, il est essentiel de vérifier les dimensions exactes inscrites sur la plaque du conducteur ou la portière avant tout achat de pneus ou de jantes, plutôt que de présumer. Au Québec, les pneus d'hiver sont obligatoires et fortement recommandés pour ces VUS électriques lourds; on privilégiera des pneus d'hiver dûment cotés et, au besoin, un montage hivernal dédié sur jantes adaptées à l'entraxe du véhicule.
