Toyota Hilux
The Hilux is Toyota's legendary mid-size pickup, renowned worldwide for its ruggedness and endurance in the toughest conditions. Launched in the late 1960s, it forged a reputation for indestructibility on every continent, serving equally for work, adventure, and intensive utility use. A ladder frame, diesel or gasoline engines depending on the market, and towing capacities make it a durable work tool. The Hilux is not sold in all North American markets (the Tacoma plays a comparable role there). As a rugged truck, it uses tall-sidewall tires and utility-type wheels, with a bolt pattern specific to heavy vehicles; all-season or winter tires suited to the load are essential.
