Vehicle model
Vauxhall Astra
The Astra is Vauxhall's iconic compact family car, launched in 1980 to succeed the Viva and take over the basis of the Opel Kadett, then Opel Astra. Over many generations, it established itself as one of the best-selling cars in the United Kingdom in the C-segment, in five-door hatchback and estate (Sports Tourer) body styles. A direct competitor of the Golf and Focus, it targets families and drivers seeking versatility, comfort, and controlled running costs. The current generation is based on Stellantis's EMP2 platform and is available in gasoline, hybrid, and fully electric (Astra Electric) versions. In terms of tires and wheels, the Astra generally uses a 5x108 bolt pattern with 16- to 18-inch wheels. In Quebec, buying dedicated winter tires would be essential, but it should be noted that the Astra has never been sold in North America under the Vauxhall brand.
