Black Rock Wheels Series 942

The Series 942 Type D is a one-piece stamped steel wheel with a "D-window" design, arguably the most recognized steel wheel profile in the world. Designed for rugged use, it receives a weather-resistant matte/satin black powder finish. It comes in a very wide range of sizes depending on the bolt pattern, from 15x7 to 15x14 and up to 17x9, with various back-spacing, making it a favorite for mounting wide tires in off-road, rock-crawling, or towing. Its main strength is durability: steel takes impacts, can be hammered back into shape, and is cheap to replace. In Quebec, it's also an excellent choice for a dedicated second set of wheels, for example for winter or trails, since an affordable steel wheel better absorbs the abuse of salted roads and potholes. Verify the exact bolt pattern, offset, brake caliper clearance, and TPMS compatibility before buying.
