Vehicle model
Aixam Gamme Aixam - électrique/hybride
Aixam launched its first electric car in March 2013, becoming a pioneer in the no-license car segment. The electric range (e-City, e-Coupé and other e- variants) reuses the bodies of the combustion models but replaces the Kubota diesel with an electric drivetrain powered by a lithium-ion battery. The range, on the order of a few dozen kilometers on the standardized cycle, and charging from a household outlet (recovering part of the range per hour of charging) are a perfect fit for daily urban use: short trips, quiet operation and zero local emissions. The maker expanded this offering to provide electric power across its entire range. Aixam does not market a hybrid as such, the alternative to diesel being the all-electric. On the wheel side, the same 13-inch fitments as the combustion versions; certified winter tires recommended in Quebec.

Technology
Technologies, engines and platforms

Tires and wheels
Tire and wheel compatibility
