History of the Aston Martin DBX

The DBX is the first SUV in Aston Martin's history, unveiled in 2019 and produced at the St Athan plant in Wales. A strategic and financially vital model, it targets an affluent clientele seeking a grand-luxury family vehicle that combines prestige, performance and versatile daily use. It comes in a standard version and a higher-performance DBX707 variant. With its all-wheel drive and raised ground clearance, the DBX is, among the range, the model best suited to winter use in Quebec. It wears large wheels and wide low-profile tires; it is strongly recommended, and legally required, to equip it with dedicated winter tires in suitable dimensions to preserve grip on snow and ice.

Dedicated Aston Martin platform with all-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic gearbox. A 4.0 L twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG V8 (M177), of about 550 hp in the standard version and up to about 707 hp on the DBX707. Electronics and infotainment derived from Mercedes-Benz.
