BYD F3 DM
The BYD F3 DM (F3DM) is the plug-in hybrid version of the F3 sedan, brought to market in December 2008. It is presented as the world's first mass-produced plug-in hybrid car, marking a pioneering step in automotive electrification. Aimed first at government agencies and businesses in China, it could be charged at home, offering an electric range before switching to gasoline-hybrid mode. Despite its historical importance, its initial sales remained very low, and the model was eventually replaced by the BYD Qin plug-in hybrid.
