Vehicle model
Chevrolet Suburban
The Suburban is the oldest automobile model name still in use, used by Chevrolet since 1935. Considered the ancestor of the modern full-size SUV, it combines a station-wagon-type body with the chassis and powertrains of a pickup truck. Now in its twelfth generation (since the 2021 model year), it is a very large three-row SUV prized by large families, fleets and for towing thanks to its huge interior room and cargo capacity. It differs from its cousin the Tahoe by its extended wheelbase. On the tire and wheel side, the Suburban uses large wheels (often 18 to 22 inches, up to 24 optional) with a six-lug bolt pattern and robust SUV tires. In Quebec, given its weight and traction, good-quality, properly sized winter tires are mandatory and essential.
