Vehicle model
Daihatsu Terios
The Daihatsu Terios is a small sport utility vehicle (mini-SUV) launched in 1997, replacing the Rocky. Unlike large off-roaders, it adopts a monocoque body that improves road behavior while retaining all-wheel-drive (four-wheel drive) options and a compact size, suited to the city as well as light off-road use. A kei-car version, the Terios Kid, was also offered in Japan. The Terios served as the basis for rebadged models within the Toyota group and at Perodua. It targets customers looking for a small, economical and versatile SUV. In terms of tires and wheels, the Terios generally uses 15- to 16-inch wheels, larger than kei-cars, often with a 5-bolt pattern. In Quebec, a small all-wheel-drive SUV makes full use of good winter tires, mandatory during the regulatory period.

Technologies, engines and platforms
The Terios is powered by small four-cylinder gasoline engines (displacements of about 1.3 to 1.5 L depending on the generation, plus a 660 cc kei version), paired with a manual or automatic transmission. Monocoque architecture with an all-wheel-drive option for light off-road use.
Tires and wheels
Tire and wheel compatibility
