History

History of the DR Gamme DR - électrique/hybride

DR's electric and hybrid range illustrates the group's opening to electrification beyond its historical LPG specialty. It includes full hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric models, including the DR 1.0 city car, the brand's first electric car, derived from a Chery model. Measuring about 3.2 metres, the DR 1.0 targets the segment of very small, affordable electric city cars, offering enough range for urban use and alternating-current charging. These vehicles target urban buyers concerned about running costs and low-emission zones. For tires and wheels, these electrified city cars use small wheel diameters and low-rolling-resistance tires that favour range. In Quebec, given the cold climate, winter tires would be essential, even though these models are not officially distributed there.

Technology

Technologies, engines and platforms

Electrified vehicles derived from Chinese platforms, covering full hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric (e.g. DR 1.0, an electric city car charging on alternating current up to 6.6 kW).

Tires and wheels

Tire and wheel compatibility
