Vehicle model
Hongqi E-HS9
The E-HS9 is Hongqi's large all-electric luxury SUV, the spearhead of the brand's electric and export offensive. About 5.2 m long with a generous wheelbase, it comes as a 5-door with 6 or 7 seats and targets the large premium electric SUV segment. Its imposing presence, interior space, and full equipment, at a price below European benchmarks, helped establish Hongqi's credibility as an electric manufacturer for export (Europe, Middle East). It is not marketed in North America. Very heavy (around 2.7 tonnes) and fitted with large-diameter low-profile wheels, the E-HS9 requires, wherever it is driven, tires suited to its load; in a Quebec climate, mountain/snowflake-rated winter tires would be essential, ideally on a second set of wheels of more modest diameter.
