Vehicle model
Maruti Dzire
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is a compact three-box (sub-compact sedan) derived from the Swift, designed to stay within the tax-advantaged four-metre limit in India while offering a real trunk. Appearing in the late 2000s (first as the Swift Dzire), it has gone through several generations and established itself as one of the country's best-selling compact sedans. It appeals to families and fleets (taxis, services) looking for the space of a sedan, great frugality, and low operating costs. The latest generation is built on the lightweight HEARTECT platform. The Dzire wears small wheels (around 14 to 15 inches); like all Maruti models, it is not sold in Quebec, where certified winter tires would be required.

Technology
Technologies, engines and platforms
The Dzire is powered by a 1.2 L gasoline engine (K12 and then Z series) of about 80 to 90 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual or an automated AMT gearbox, with front-wheel drive and a CNG option. The lightweight HEARTECT platform prioritizes fuel economy and reliability.
Tires and wheels
Tire and wheel compatibility
