Pontiac Grand Prix
The Pontiac Grand Prix is a lineup produced from 1962 to 2008, first as a full-size performance coupe, then as an intermediate coupe and finally as a sporty sedan. The first generation (1962-1964) offered big V8s (389 and 421 cu in). In 1969, under John Z. DeLorean, a new Grand Prix on the G platform (derived from the intermediate A platform) launched the "personal luxury coupe" format. The later generations moved to the W platform and became mostly sporty sedans, with supercharged V6s (GTP) and the GXP performance version introduced in 2005, fitted with a 5.3 L V8. An affordable and widespread sporty family car, the Grand Prix targeted a broad audience. In Quebec, winter tires are essential; medium-sized wheels and tires, wider on the GTP/GXP versions.

Technologies, engines and platforms
Several GM platforms over time (full-size, G-body, W-body), front-wheel drive on the later generations. Older V8 engines, then V6s (including supercharged versions on the GTP) and, on the GXP, a 5.3 L LS4 V8 of about 303 hp.

Tire and wheel compatibility
