Saturn Gamme Saturn - électrique/hybride
Saturn took part in GM's early electrification efforts through its Green Line sub-brand. The Vue Green Line (from 2007) and Aura Green Line (2008) used the BAS (Belt-Alternator-Starter) mild-hybrid system, with automatic engine stop-start and a nickel-metal-hydride battery, offering roughly 20% fuel savings at an affordable cost. The more sophisticated Two-Mode Vue Green Line combined a direct-injection 3.6L V6 and a 300-volt battery for better efficiency while retaining towing capability. These vehicles targeted buyers mindful of fuel consumption without giving up the practicality of an SUV or sedan. Saturn closed in 2010 before offering a fully electric vehicle. As used vehicles in Quebec, suitable winter tires and maintenance of the hybrid battery should be expected.
