Tank Gamme Tank - électrique/hybride
Tank's electrified lineup illustrates GWM's electrification strategy applied to off-road vehicles. Rather than fully electric vehicles, the brand mainly favors the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) with its Hi4-T system, deployed on the Tank 300, 500 and 700. This approach retains the mechanical 4x4 capabilities (low-range, locks) while adding an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery, which provides useful electric range (on the order of a hundred kilometers depending on the cycle), reduced fuel consumption and appreciable instant torque while driving. These versions target buyers wishing to combine adventure, performance and energy efficiency. In Quebec, the added weight from the batteries reinforces the importance of dedicated, properly sized winter tires. The electrified range nevertheless remains unavailable in Canada, due to the lack of official distribution.

Technology
Technologies, engines and platforms
Hi4-T plug-in hybrid system combining a turbocharged internal-combustion engine, electric motor(s) and a lithium-ion battery of about 37 kWh; some configurations adopt a dual-motor architecture (P2+P4), preserving the mechanical all-wheel drive and off-road capabilities.
