Wey Gamme Wey - électrique/hybride
Electrification is at the heart of Wey's identity. From the VV series onward, the brand offered plug-in hybrid versions (P8, VV7 PHEV), then made its "Coffee" series its technological showcase: the Coffee 01 (Mocha in China) is a large plug-in hybrid SUV offering a high electric range, shown in Europe from 2021-2022 onward. GWM also announces that it is developing fully electric and hydrogen powertrains for the brand. These powerful and heavy vehicles place heavy demands on tires; in Quebec, winter tires with good load capacity are essential, as electric range also drops significantly in extreme cold. These models are not marketed in North America.

Les Wey étant essentiellement des VUS et multisegments premium, ils chaussent généralement de grandes jantes en alliage, typiquement de 18 à 21 pouces selon le modèle et la finition. Le Coffee 01, par exemple, reçoit d'origine des pneus 265/45R21 sur jantes 8,5Jx21, avec une monte alternative en 255/50R20. Comme pour la plupart des VUS asiatiques modernes, l'entraxe attendu est de type 5 trous, à confirmer au cas par cas. Pour ces véhicules lourds et puissants, des pneus correctement dimensionnés et bien cotés en charge sont importants. Au Québec, des pneus d'hiver dédiés (souvent montés sur un second train de jantes de plus petit diamètre, par exemple 18 ou 19 pouces, pour réduire le coût et améliorer la motricité) sont obligatoires et fortement recommandés.
