Yangwang Gamme Yangwang - électrique/hybride
Electrification is at the very heart of Yangwang: the entire lineup is either fully electric or plug-in hybrid. The U9 is a 100% electric supercar, while the U8, U8L, and certain versions of the U7 are plug-in hybrids combining electric motors with a range-extending gasoline engine. The U7 introduced BYD's second-generation Blade battery, claimed to deliver more than 1,000 km of range on the CLTC cycle. This strategy reflects the identity of BYD, a pioneer in batteries and electrification. These high-torque powertrains and heavy vehicles require tires with a high load rating. None of these variants is offered in Quebec; for an electrified vehicle driven through winter here, approved winter tires, ideally mounted on a second set of wheels, remain recommended.

Les Yangwang sont de gros véhicules lourds chaussés en grand diamètre : le VUS U8 reçoit d'origine des pneus de type 275/50R22 (jante de 22 pouces), avec une variante 275/60R20 en 20 pouces; les versions allongées et les berlines peuvent monter jusqu'en 22 ou 23 pouces. Vu la masse et le couple instantané des motorisations électriques, l'indice de charge et de vitesse des pneus est crucial. Comme ces véhicules ne sont pas vendus au Québec, les dimensions précises restent indicatives; pour tout véhicule électrifié roulant l'hiver ici, des pneus d'hiver homologués (pictogramme montagne/flocon) adaptés à la charge sont essentiels, idéalement montés sur un second train de jantes pour préserver les grandes jantes d'origine.
