Aiways' utility lineup consists of mid-size electric SUVs, the core of the brand's offering. The U5 inaugurated this category in 2019: a five-seat family SUV in a compact-intermediate format, spacious and geared toward daily use and long trips thanks to a decent range. The U6, launched afterward, adopts a more dynamic SUV-coupe silhouette with refined styling, targeting customers seeking a modern look without giving up space. These vehicles target families and urban and suburban drivers wishing to switch to electric at a controlled cost. As heavy electric SUVs, they wear large-diameter wheels (often 18 to 19 inches) and wide tires; in Quebec, certified winter tires would be essential, ideally on a second set of wheels. Battery-electric SUVs on a dedicated architecture, with a battery of about 63 kWh supplied by CATL and a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (about 150 kW) driving the front wheels. The U6 introduces the "More Adaptable Structure" platform and the in-house developed AI-PT powertrain, compatible with DC fast charging.

Les VUS électriques Aiways (U5, U6) sont des véhicules de gabarit moyen qui chaussent généralement des jantes en alliage de grand diamètre, typiquement autour de 18 à 19 pouces, avec des pneus de section relativement large adaptés au poids des batteries. L'entraxe le plus courant sur ce segment de VUS chinois est habituellement de type 5 trous. Comme ces véhicules sont absents du marché québécois, les dimensions exactes doivent être confirmées sur la plaque ou la documentation du véhicule. Pour tout VUS électrique circulant au Québec, des pneus d'hiver homologués sont obligatoires et fortement recommandés vu le couple instantané et la masse élevée; prévoir au besoin un second train de jantes pour faciliter le changement saisonnier.
