Citroën DS
The Citroën DS is a high-end sedan produced from 1955 to 1975, considered one of the most significant automobiles in history. Presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1955, it sparked immediate enthusiasm with tens of thousands of orders within a few days. The successor to the Traction Avant, the DS revolutionized the industry through its aerodynamics, its hydropneumatic suspension offering exceptional comfort, its power steering and its front disc brakes. Voted by some panels of designers "the most beautiful car of all time," it remains a reference in automotive design. The "DS" name has since been revived for the premium brand DS Automobiles. For a collector's example in Quebec, regulatory winter tires and period-correct sizes, which are often specific, must be anticipated.
