Vehicle model
Isuzu MU-X
The MU-X is Isuzu's seven-seat midsize SUV, whose name means "Multi Utility – eXtreme." It is a body-on-frame SUV derived from the D-Max pickup, which gives it towing and off-road capability superior to that of unibody SUVs. Designed for active families and demanding uses, it combines interior space (three rows, five doors), ruggedness, and diesel powertrains. Very common in Australia, Southeast Asia, and India, it is recognized there for its versatility and sturdiness, with a good safety rating in recent tests. The MU-X measures about 4.8 m long with generous ground clearance. On the tire and wheel side, it shares the D-Max architecture (a 6-bolt pattern is common) and most often receives 17- or 18-inch wheels; in Quebec, winter tires suited to the size and weight are recommended for this heavy SUV.
