Vehicle model
Maxus V80
The V80 is Maxus's founding cargo van and the brand's very first product, unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2011. It descends directly from the British LDV Maxus van, whose intellectual property SAIC acquired, making it the link between LDV's heritage and the Chinese brand. A medium-to-large van intended for goods transport and professional conversions, it comes in several lengths and roof heights, as well as cab-chassis versions and, later, an electric variant (EV80). A commercial mainstay for Maxus for over a decade, the V80 helped establish the brand in export markets. As a cargo van, it rides on high load-rating tires; in Quebec, suitable winter tires are essential for these heavy vehicles used year-round.
