MG Cyberster
The MG Cyberster is a two-seat electric roadster launched in 2024, presented as the first mass-produced, fully electric convertible. It marks MG's return to its British sporting roots, with a spectacular neo-retro design, scissor (elytron) doors, and an electric soft top. Larger than a Mazda MX-5, it measures about 4.5 meters and weighs nearly two tons due to its battery. Positioned as a leisure sports car, it targets enthusiasts seeking the thrill of a roadster without an internal combustion engine. Sold in Europe, Australia, and other markets, but not in Canada. With its generous dimensions and performance orientation, it uses large alloy wheels and wide low-profile tires; such a convertible is not intended for Quebec winters, but would nonetheless require cold-weather tires if driven outside the summer season.
