Nio ET7
The ET7 is Nio's large flagship electric sedan, unveiled in 2021 and produced from 2022. A higher-segment (full-size) model, it is positioned against electric luxury sedans like the Tesla Model S and targets a clientele demanding in terms of comfort, range, and technology. It was one of the first production vehicles equipped with a LiDAR sensor for assisted driving (Aquila suite). Marketed in China and several European countries, it is not sold in North America. A heavy and powerful sedan, the ET7 is fitted with large wheels (up to 21 inches) and high load- and speed-index tires; in Quebec, mountain-snowflake-rated winter tires would be essential for winter safety and traction.

Technologies, engines and platforms
Two motors (permanent-magnet synchronous at the front, induction at the rear) for 480 kW and all-wheel drive. Batteries of 75 kWh (LFP), 100 kWh (NMC), and 150 kWh semi-solid, proprietary NT2.0 platform, Aquila assisted driving with LiDAR, battery swap, and BaaS.

Comme constructeur premium de berlines et de VUS électriques, Nio chausse généralement de grandes jantes en alliage, souvent de 19 à 21 pouces selon le modèle et la finition. Les véhicules électriques étant lourds (batteries) et puissants, ils requièrent des pneus à indice de charge et de vitesse élevés, parfois à roulement réduit pour préserver l'autonomie. Les entraxes (bolt pattern) typiques des berlines et VUS de ce gabarit tournent souvent autour de 5 trous. Au Québec, des pneus d'hiver homologués (symbole montagne-flocon) sont obligatoires et essentiels pour la traction de ces véhicules à fort couple.
