Vehicle model
Saab Gamme Saab - véhicules particuliers
The passenger car was always at the heart of Saab. From the postwar 92 to the 95, 96, and 99, the brand forged its identity around front-wheel drive, aerodynamics, and safety. The 900 (1978-1998) and 9000 (1984-1998) popularized the turbocharger on widely distributed sedans and hatchbacks. Under GM, the 9-3 and 9-5 took over, offered as sedans, wagons, and convertibles, targeting a demanding clientele looking for an alternative to the German makes. The 9-2X, derived from the Subaru Impreza, briefly rounded out the lineup in North America. These cars, mostly front-wheel drive, are at ease in winter. For tires and wheels, recent 9-3 and 9-5 models often adopt the 5x110 mm bolt pattern and diameters from 15 to 17 inches; in Quebec, a set of winter tires is essential.

Technology
Technologies, engines and platforms
Gasoline four-cylinder engines, most often turbocharged, mounted transversely and paired with front-wheel drive. Under GM, the GM2900 and later Epsilon platforms for the 9-3; advanced safety equipment (reinforced cabin, SAHR active head restraints).
Tires and wheels
Tire and wheel compatibility
