Vehicle model
Saab Gamme Saab - utilitaires ou VUS
On the utility side, Saab's offering essentially comes down to the 9-7X, a mid-size SUV produced from 2005 to 2009 and intended for the North American market only. Developed during the General Motors era on the GMT360 platform shared with the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy, and Buick Rainier, it was assembled in Moraine, Ohio. Saab added a reworked chassis, a more refined interior presentation, and the house styling, but the model, perceived as a rebadged GM SUV, did not find success. It targeted North American customers seeking a family SUV with rear- or all-wheel drive capable of facing winter. On the tire and wheel side, an SUV of this size uses generous diameters (often 17 to 18 inches) and benefits greatly from dedicated winter tires in Quebec, given its mass and use in poor weather.

Technology
Technologies, engines and platforms
The 9-7X was based on the rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive GMT360 platform, with GM inline six-cylinder and V8 engines depending on the version, and a chassis and damping reworked by Saab for handling and comfort.

Tire and wheel compatibility
