The MR145 (TRAKLITE 3.0) is the most recent version of Motegi's flow-formed performance line, offered in 15, 17, and 18 inches. Like the previous TRAKLITE wheels, it benefits from the heat-spinning process that densifies the barrel to reduce weight and improve rigidity, benefiting handling, braking, and spirited driving. Its contemporary thin-spoke design targets enthusiasts of autocross, light track use, and refined tuning. The presence of a 15-inch diameter, rarer on performance models, broadens its use: it suits sport compacts and, in Quebec, can serve as the basis for a lightweight winter fitment on compatible vehicles. The reduction in unsprung mass compared to a cast wheel is its main selling point. Before purchase, check the bolt pattern, offset, center bore, and brake caliper clearance, and plan for TPMS sensors if needed. A good compromise between lightness, style, and budget.
