The Indy is one of two founding designs relaunched by US Mags when the brand was reintroduced in 2010, alongside the Standard. Recognizable by its kidney bean pattern, it is a one-piece cast aluminum mag that embodies the period aesthetic that helped launch the American custom wheel market. Carried by the U101 reference, the Indy comes in 15 to 17 inch diameters with widths from 5 to 10 inches, in 5- and 6-lug bolt patterns, most often in a polished finish. It is aimed at restoration purists and fans of hot rods and muscle cars seeking an authentic look. Its aesthetic nature keeps it away from track use. For a Quebec vehicle, its modest diameters simplify fitting seasonal tires; the polished finish, however, demands careful maintenance against salt, and the fitment must be validated according to the application.
