Bentley Blower
The Blower refers to the legendary supercharged Bentley 4½ Litre of the turn of the 1930s, developed notably by driver Tim Birkin. A symbol of the golden age of the Bentley Boys, it embodies the spirit of fast pre-war racing, even though the naturally aspirated production versions dominated the Le Mans honors roll at the time. More recently, Bentley revived the legend with the Blower Continuation Series, a very limited run of twelve examples rebuilt as faithful replicas of the 1929 team car, manufactured by the Mulliner division in Crewe. It is the world's first continuation series of a pre-war race car. The Blower is above all a collector's piece and a heritage object. Its period spoked wheels and tall-sidewall tires bear no resemblance to modern fitments, and such a vehicle does not drive in ordinary Quebec winter conditions.
