Vehicle model
Peugeot 205
The Peugeot 205 is a B-segment city car launched in February 1983. A genuine commercial success, it saved Peugeot from a difficult financial period and sold more than five million units through 1998. Offered in several body styles (3- and 5-door, CTI cabriolet), it marked an entire generation. The sporty 205 GTI version, introduced in 1984 with a 1.6 and then a 1.9 liter engine, became a benchmark among hot hatches and remains highly sought after by collectors. The 205 Turbo 16, built in 200 units for homologation, won world titles in Group B rallying. In Quebec, this older model belongs to the collector category: it runs small wheels (around 13 to 15 inches) and, like any vehicle on the road in winter, requires winter tires suited to its original size.
