Volkswagen Golf
The Golf is Volkswagen's emblematic compact, launched in 1974 to succeed the Beetle. It redefined the front-wheel-drive hatchback compact segment and has been produced in more than 37 million units across eight generations. Each generation (from the Mk1 of 1974 to the current Mk8, unveiled in 2019 and then restyled in 2024) advanced space, refinement, and technology. The Golf GTI, introduced in 1976, founded the sporty "hot hatch" category. The Golf targets a broad customer base seeking versatility, quality, and driving pleasure. Very widespread in Quebec, it lends itself well to a second set of winter tires on dedicated wheels; common diameters range from about 16 to 18 inches depending on the version, with the GTI and R going up in size.

Tire and wheel compatibility
