Vehicle model
Smart #1
The Smart #1 is a small electric crossover (B-segment) launched from 2022, the first model of the new Smart era stemming from the Mercedes-Benz–Geely joint venture. It marks the brand's transformation: moving from the two-seat microcity car to a five-seat family vehicle, taller, more spacious and geared toward European and Chinese urban and suburban families. Its exterior styling is by Mercedes-Benz, with a modern, digitalized cabin. Offered in trims ranging from affordable versions to sporty Brabus variants, it targets an urban clientele seeking a compact yet versatile electric car. The #1 is not sold in North America. Tire/wheel note: a compact crossover generally fitted with 18- to 19-inch wheels; in a climate like Quebec's, suitable winter tires would be essential to make use of the traction of an electric car with instant torque.
